5. What other ideas do you have to calm traffic?

All of the ideas presented are excellent ones for traffic calming and to create safer more pedestrian friendly neighborhoods.  In order for them to be helpful though we need to implement them.  In order to achieve that I would suggest that we have:

1.            Neighborhood consultation to ensure the community input and support is

included in early planning

2.            Set Clear goals, objectives with budget and timing.

3.            Prioritization each initiative by reviewing risk to the public and costs

to implement

4.            Budgeting and regular monitoring to ensure implementation occur.
